$515 Sunny room w/ GG bridge view in Berkeley Hills intentional group house (Madison)

Our collective is seeking housemates for our beautiful, enormous, and welcoming home in the Berkeley Hills. Our name, Heartloom, reflects our approach to community: like interweaving individual threads of our lives and aspirations. Altogether, our house is a cozy and warm place where we get together for chats throughout the day, work on house tasks together, eat food (!), and put together the occasional party.

THE ROOM: The room open is sunny, large (~12'x12'), comes with a closet and a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and is available lightly furnished if desired. $515+ utilities

THE HOUSE: 4 stories! The top floor has 4 bedrooms including the open room; the ground floor is all common space; the lower level has a second living room/craft space and 2 bedrooms and laundry; the basement level has tons of storage and workshop space that opens up to a large yard. There is also garden space!

THE AREA: lots of greenery and a close walk to a number of nearby parks. You can easily reach Downtown Berkeley via bike, a bus stop one minute away, or a 25 minute walk.

THE PEOPLE: Seven of us are currently living here. Here’s what we’re like:
GA: Late 20s She/They builder of things and designer of dwellings. She dabbles in music, art, and roller skates.
JA: Mid 20s startup founder & hobbyist cartographer. He's involved with the local effective altruism community, maker/hacker people, and maps!
JK: Early 30s psychology student and attachment repair coach. Backpacking, meditation, climbing; steady, calm, grounded vibes. He's not a car (he promises).
SC: Early 30s data analytics manager on a career break. He cares about the planet, speaks French, and enjoys backpacking, biking, and skiing.
*Other bios coming :)

THE VIBES: Queer friendly, neurodivergent friendly, and inclusive space. We love a low key get together, the occasional celebration, group projects, and themed parties! We recently hosted a Goth Night and have done other events like a turtleneck party where everyone wore turtlenecks and tried to ward off vampires and a Sunday brunch with fruit and homemade baked goods.
